Be Focus-Perfect to move forward and reach further

SKS is a simple and effective way we use for entrepreneurs and teams to reflect on their recent experiences and decide on what things they should change to move forward.

Start – List things you will begin doing

This one is an easy list to write. Deep down you know all of the things that you want to do, and it’s likely that you know all the things that you need to do to produce better results. Chances are, you’ve known what many of these things are because you’ve been willing to do them for a long time. Now you have to capture these activities and commit to them.

It’s easy to make a massive list, but you really need to make that list meaningful and that the time you invest in these tasks and activities gets you the right outcomes

Keep – Identify things that worked previously

We all spend a lot of time thinking about what we want to improve and what we want to change. But much of what we do is working for us, and it’s important to take the time to make sure that you continue to do the important things that produce important outcomes.

Stop – Define things you should avoid doing

This is an important list, and it’s certain that there are things that you do that move you away from your goals, away from healthy outcomes and since you are focusing on starting doing new things, you better be clear with what you want to stop, as both Stop & Start are strongly correlated.

This is universal. You know the behaviours that prevent you from succeeding. You know the actions that produce poor outcomes.

What are the benefits of a Start Stop Keep session ?

👉 It gives entrepreneurs and teams an opportunity to review how they are going and identify improvements they can implement in the future.

👉 It makes it easier for teams to clarify issues, weigh the impact of ideas, and reach a consensus based on shared priorities.

👉 It is very action orientated and provides momentum and energy to the entrepreneurs and for the team. Each item on the list results in behavioural change.

👉 It empowers individuals and teams to continuously improve the way they work.

When do we run Start Keep Stop sessions?

SKS framework is part of our Be Focus-Perfect Campfire (campfire = workshop) and it is the last session of each of our Camps. This is the moment when all the parts during the deceleration come together and become one: a plan to go in acceleration again.

The session is not super difficult as such, but hard, as you have to choose what you are going to focus on for the next steps. So we make you write your decisions, date them and sign. Then like anything else, it’s the execution that’s more challenging.

Finally, we make a promise to meet again to ensure that the activities were executed and if needed schedule a fresh Start, Keep, Stop session in a few months.
